Hosting#

This site is hosted by Hostinger. Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting abuse#

QR codes are used in phishing, sometimes called quishing, and codes made here could be misused like any others. If you have received a QR code that leads somewhere harmful and believe it came from this site, write to contact@qr-tag-generator.com with the code image or the URL it resolves to.

Note that we cannot disable an individual code. Codes generated here are static: the content is inside the pattern and there is no redirect of ours in the middle, so there is nothing on our side to switch off. What we can do is help you identify what a code contains, and cooperate with a lawful request from a competent authority.

Trademarks

QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in Japan and other countries. DENSO WAVE invented the QR Code and holds the trademark on the term, but the specification itself is published as ISO/IEC 18004 and is free for anyone to implement. No licence or royalty is required to generate or read QR codes, and the trademark covers the words only, not the code pattern.

Wi-Fi is a registered trademark of Wi-Fi Alliance. We use the term to describe wireless networks generally; this site is not certified by, affiliated with or endorsed by Wi-Fi Alliance.

iPhone and iOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. We refer to these products only to describe device compatibility, which is nominative use. No affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is implied by any of them.

Any other product or company names mentioned may be trademarks of their respective owners, and are used only to identify the products in question.

Our own rights#

The wording, page designs and source code of this site are ours. QR Tag Generator is our name for this service and is not a DENSO WAVE product.

Codes you generate belong to you. You may print, sell and distribute them freely, with no licence fee and no attribution to us, as set out in the terms of service.

Open source components#

The QR encoder used on this site was written from scratch against the ISO/IEC 18004 specification and contains no third-party code. The typefaces are Archivo (© 2020 The Archivo Project Authors) and DM Mono (© 2020 The DM Mono Project Authors), both used under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1. The full licence is published at /fonts/OFL.txt.

Accuracy of this page#

Online dispute resolution#
